Carved Scottish Wall Clock
​This is another custom clock that was made as a wedding present. The happy couple has Scottish roots, so our customer asked that we integrate Scottish symbols into the design.
​
The clock is made of basswood with a cherry surround. The center design of three Scottish thistles and a Celtic knot are hand carved.
​
The hour markers are woodburned. Roman numerals mark the cardinal numbers. The other numbers are marked with a triskelion figure, a complex Celtic symbol that, among other things, represents motion. Very appropriate for a clock.
