This commission came to us through our Etsy shop. The customer was looking for a cat tree made of salvaged wood. So Roy took a walk in the woods near our house and found a broken hemlock tree (see below).

Rough-sawn cedar planks make the steps which are supported by the branches of the hemlock. The tree is unfinished, and comes with a basket for sleeping attached at the top.

This cat tree stands five feet and two inches tall and is two feet wide.
