Kokopelli has been a sacred figure in what is now the southwestern United States for thousands of years. He is a fertility deity, a trickster, and a musician important to many Native American tribes. He is most noticeable in the ancient Anasazi culture of the Four Corners area (Colorado, Utah, New Mexico and Arizona) where we used to live.
Tales of his powers and adventures are many, and his charismatic personality is continually being redefined. Click on the items below to see ways that we have been asked to portray the humpbacked flute player.
