This bread box was created for a woman whose dog had a liking for bread. It is made of maple, alder and aspen with a walnut handle. It includes a tambour door, similar to those used on rolltop desks, and fits a standard loaf of bread. Thanks to the hardy construction, the dog never found a way in to his favorite snack.
Copper, the breadloving dog has crossed the rainbow bridge, but this breadbox continues to protect loaves of bread from the latest hopeful canine.
